What a dramatic game 1 by the Western Conf Semifinals opening game between the #2 seed Memphis Grizzlies and the #3 Golden State Warriors. 
Ja Morant missed the game-winning layup attempt as time expired for the Grizzlies as they fell to the Warriors in Game 1, 117-116. Klay Thompson missed two crucial clutch free-throws while the game was tied at 117-116, if the Grizzlies made the play, they would have won. If Klay made 1 out of 2 free throws, the game would have tied if it wasn't a three.
Jordan Poole led the Warriors with a Playoff career-high 31 PTS (5-10 3pt FG), along with 8 REB and 9 AST, while Stephen Curry added 24 PTS and 4 AST in the victory.
Former DPOY Draymond Green got ejected from the game for a Flagrant 2 foul in the 2Q.
Ja Morant recorded 34 PTS, 9 REB, and 10 AST for the Grizzlies, while Jaren Jackson Jr. tallied a Playoff career-high 33 PTS (6-9 3pt FG) and 10 REB in the losing effort.

Dallas Mavericks 114 - 121 Phoenix Suns
Led by Devin Booker’s 23 PTS, 9 REB, and 8 AST, the #1 seed Phoenix Suns defeated the #4 seed Dallas Mavericks in Game 1, 121-114. Deandre Ayton (25 PTS, 8 REB) and Chris Paul (19 PTS, 5 REB, 3 AST) added a combined 44 PTS for the Suns in the victory, while Luka Doncic tallied 45 PTS, 12 REB, and 8 AST for the Mavericks.

After outscoring Dallas, 40-26, in the 4th quarter, the #1 seed Suns defeated the #4 seed Mavericks in Game 2, 129-109. Chris Paul recorded 28 PTS (14 PTS, 6-7 FG in the 4th quarter), 6 REB, and 8 AST for the Suns, while Devin Booker added 30 PTS (21 in the second half), 4 REB, and 4 AST in the victory. Luka Doncic led all scorers with 35 PTS, 5 REB, and 7 AST for the Mavericks.

DAL wins 4-3

Spencer Dinwiddie added 30 PTS (11-15 FG, 5-7 3pt FG) for the Mavericks in the victory, while Devin Booker (11 PTS, 3-14 FG) and Chris Paul (10 PTS, 4 AST) combined for 21 PTS for the Suns. After closing out this best-of-7 series, 4-3, the Mavericks will advance to the Western Conference Finals to face the Golden State Warriors.
